COVID-19 Guidelines
Dear HYE Community Members,
We are OPEN! We offer classes in Studio daily. In addition, all of our classes are available via livestream and we have an On Demand video library. Whatever your needs or comfort level are during these unprecedented times, we have yoga available for YOU.t
We have implemented modifications in the studio for everyone’s safety. Before diving in, please reflect on this wise quote that resonated with us:
“Everything is temporary; emotions, thoughts, people & scenery. Do not become attached, just flow with it.” Anonymous
Please carefully consider the following exhaustive and ever evolving details:
MindBody Class Offerings & Studio Guidelines:
1. In-studio classes will cap at 12 clients and the waitlist will track up to 8 clients.
3. Video on Demand membership is now available. This is a special membership and available to all active HYE memberships.
HYE Studio Safety Modifications & Client Courtesy:
1. All clients & teachers enter via the front, main entrance and respect social distancing. The front door will open 15 minutes prior to class and be locked at class time. “Contact-less” entry & exit is set-up and encouraged. Face masks are strongly encouraged upon entry to the studio and to your mat as well as while exiting. Upon arrival on your mat, removing your mask may be deemed safest depending on the intensity of the class with regards to breath. HYE respects the opinion of each person and will not require masks.
2. Locker rooms will be closed for now. Please only bring in “absolutes” to the studio. There will be open cubbies available upon entry to place keys, shoes, etc.
3. HYE strongly recommends each teacher and client take his/her temperature 1 hour prior to class. There will be a desk shield at the front desk. Please be prepared to answer the questions in on our website called COVID-19 Questions before passing the front desk & before each class for increased safety to all. If you are not feeling well or have had exposure to COVID-19 in any way, please refrain from entering the studio.
4. Please change clothes and “tinkle” before arriving to the studio. Restrooms will be available, if absolutely necessary. Rental towels & mats will be unavailable for now. If you tend to sweat a great deal, please bring an extra beach towel to place under your mat and any extra towels you might need to clean up after class. For safety reasons, please bring an extra towel to wrap around yourself before exiting the hot room, if needed. Our team will continue to clean in between classes; however, please do your part so that we can focus on deep cleaning. Reusable bags or garbage bags are recommended for carrying your mat and towel(s) out of the studio.
5. The studio room will be marked for social distancing. Please plan to place the top left corner of your mat to match the markings on the floor.
6. No mat cleaning solution in the spray bottle will be provided for safety reasons. Feel free to bring your own from home. Small white towels to clean your mat will be available.
8. Blocks, props and weights will not be used in class at this time for safety reasons. If you prefer a block(s) for your practice, please bring your own. Blocks will be available for purchase at the studio. Bands will be available for HIIT classes due to the ease of sterilization after use and will be safely handed out by each teacher prior to the HIIT class, if applicable. MELT props will be available and properly sterilized as always after each class. Weights will likely be re-introduced next when HYE deems it safe per authority guidelines.
9. Breathing in the Hot Classes (26 & 2) & HIIT will be altered to encourage breathing in through your nose & out through your nose….for now! Please do your best to refrain from out of the mouth breathing for safety reasons!
We are so grateful to be open and to create the space for you to come to your mat, whether in studio or in the comfort of your home. Please let me know how I can best serve you during this period.
Much love & be well,
Terri
